Dr. Iva Georgieva is an Assistant Professor of Philosophy of Science in the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, Sofia, Bulgaria. She received her PhD in Virtual Reality narratives from the Department of History and Philosophy of Science at the University of Tokyo, Japan in 2017. She also works as a Design Lead at the US non-profit Studio Bahia, where she develops VR experiences with different well-being aims. She has numerous publications in the field of therapeutic narrative in VR, philosophy and ethics of technology and artificial intelligence and works in various projects related to philosophy of medicine and technology, ethics in VR applications and interactive digital narratives.
