The present volume is issue 4 from the “The Balkans as Reality” series and a result of the 3-year bilateral scientific project between the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and the Romanian Academy (2015–2018), on the topic:
“Democratization, Religious Identity and Fundamentalism in Romania and Bulgaria”.
It archives the final studies presented by the researches from the Institute of Political Science and International Relations “Ion I. C. Brătianu”, Bucharest, the Romanian Academy, and research of the expert team on religious studies to the ISSK–BAS.
The official language of the conference is English.
