Нови анализи и данни от Европейските изследователски инфраструктури и от пан-европейския панел CRONOS

февруари 20, 2026

Публикувани бяха първите обобщени резултати (Topline Results) по темата Make it Equal: European Attitudes to Wealth Inequality and Wealth Taxation,

Те обединяват информация от водещи международни социални изследвания – Eurobarometer, European Quality of Life Survey (EQLS), European Social Survey (ESS), European Values Study (EVS) и International Social Survey Programme (ISSP).

Joint Research Centre:
23 февруари 2026 г. – Make it Green: климатични политики и обществени нагласи
24 март 2026 г. – Make it Strong: устойчивост в образованието, труда и семейството
14 април 2026 г. – Make it Equal: равни възможности и социално включване в Европа

Topline Results: Make it Equal
Today, have been published the Topline Results: European Attitudes to Wealth Inequality and Wealth Taxation. The Topline Results report relies on data from the self-completion web-first panel survey (CRONOS-3). This Report explores public attitudes towards inequality, inheritance, and proposed taxes to reduce inequality.

Written by Susan Banducci (University of Birmingham), Dániel Bremer and István György (Tárki Social Research Institute), the authors compared data on wealth inequalities between younger and older respondents.

First versions of harmonised data now available
Harmonized datasets for five themes have now been published for the first time. Available from the NextGen Harmonised Data Gateway, these initial files include data from five social surveys that have been harmonised to make them as comparable as possible, even if the original question text and response scales differed.

The initial harmonised files include data from Eurobarometer, European Quality of Life Survey (EQLS), European Social Survey (ESS), European Values Study (EVS), and International Social Survey Programme (ISSP). Panel survey data from the project (CRONOS-3) will be added to the second data harmonisation release scheduled for 2027. This marks a significant milestone for social science research infrastructure in terms of new service provision.

Topline Results: Make it Strong
The report on the Make it Strong theme was made publicly available last month: Topline Results: The Social Blueprint: Education, Work, and Family as Determinants of Life Chances. The report, superbly drafted by Rumiana Stoilova (Bulgarian Academy of Sciences) and Yuliya Kazakova (Netherlands Interdisciplinary Demographic Institute), is summarised in this news item from the Infra4NextGen website.

The authors brought together several elements of the wide-ranging theme in a cohesive way by expertly focusing on attitudes towards the fairness of education, knowledge of education programmes, employment opportunities, and family values. As with all analysis produced as part of the project, there is a comparison between the attitudes of younger (under 35) and older (35+) respondents.

Upcoming Events
There are several workshops being held the next few months that follow-on from these Topline Results reports. Each event will be held from 9am-4pm (CET / CEST) and will feature presentations and hands-on activities. Speakers are the authors of the reports and Joint Research Centre experts.
