Prof. Vassil Kirov was elected as a Member of the Academia Europaea. Academia Europaea. was established in 1988 and is the Pan-European Academy for the Humanities, Social and Natural Sciences. Membership is by invitation only.
The aim of the Academia Europaea is the development and dissemination of scientific excellence in the humanities, legal, economic, social and political sciences, mathematics, medicine and all branches of the natural and technical sciences throughout the world for the public benefit and for the improvement of the education of the population of all ages in the above fields in Europe. The Academy has 5500 members, including 88 Nobel Laureates. There are eleven members from Bulgaria. Prof. Kirov is member of the sections “Economics, Business and Management Sciences” и „Social Change and Social Thought”.
