Rumiana Jeleva is Associate Professor in Sociology and Senior Researcher at the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology within Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. She holds a PhD in Sociology from the University in Magdeburg, Germany; master’s degrees in Sociology and Pedagogy from Sofia University, Bulgaria, and has specialized in international relations and sustainable development. Recently she is the scientist-in-charge of the project “European Foreign Policy Facing New Challenges and Perspectives: The View of Young People in Bulgaria”, financed by the Bulgarian National Science Fund at the Ministry of Education and Science (Contract № KP-06-KOST/3) and carried out by a team from the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology at Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (IPS-BAS). She has been involved as a team manager or researcher in numerous European projects in the field of sociology of work, organizational sociology and European studies.
